Two of the Cook Library Center interns, Noemi and Erica, led a story time yesterday featuring the book "Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus" by Mo Willems. After a lively storytelling, students sat down for an art project.
Since the pigeon in the book experiences a wide range of emotions - ranging from very calm to completely WILD - students were asked to create self portraits showing both their WILD and calm sides.
Students discussed color choices that would represent their calm and WILD sides, and went to work with oil pastels.

Everyone did a great job and had a lot of fun!
